Terms of Use

Last updated: 04/10/2026

1. About these Terms

This website, brooklys.gr (the “Website”), is operated by  (“Brooklys”, “we”, “us”), a producer and seller of extra virgin olive oil.

By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. What the Website offers

  • Information about our olive oil and the people behind it
  • Our products: extra virgin olive oil in glass bottles (50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml) and tins (50 ml, 5 lt)
  • A contact form and newsletter subscription
  • [Online ordering, see section 7]

3. Use of the Website

You may use the Website for lawful, personal purposes. You may not:

  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Website or its systems
  • Upload malware or interfere with how the Website works
  • Use bots or scrapers without our written permission
  • Send spam or advertising through our forms
  • Impersonate another person

To place an order you must be at least 18 years old.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Website, including texts, photographs, logos, label designs, and the layout, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by Greek, EU and international law. You may view it and share links to it, but you may not copy, modify or use it commercially, or use the Brooklys name or logo, without our written permission.

5. Product information

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Because olive oil is a natural product:

  • Colour, aroma, taste and slight sediment can vary between harvests and batches.
  • Photos and packaging may differ slightly from what you receive (for example label updates).
  • Each bottle or tin shows the harvest year, batch number and best-before date.

Our olive oil is produced and labelled in line with EU and Greek food law. Any nutrition or health information we give follows EU Regulation 1924/2006. It is general information and not medical advice.

Store the oil in a cool, dark place, away from heat and light, and close the container after use.

6. Availability and prices

Products may sell out, change or be discontinued. Prices are in euros and include VAT. Prices can change, but a change never affects an order we have already confirmed. If we make an obvious pricing error, we will tell you before shipping and you can confirm or cancel.

7. Orders (delete if you do not sell online yet)

7.1 Placing an order. Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may decline an order for a valid reason, such as stock shortage, a pricing error, or suspected fraud, and will refund any payment already made.

7.2 Payment. Accepted methods: [card / PayPal / bank transfer / cash on delivery]. Payment is processed by [provider]. We do not store your card details.

7.3 Delivery. We deliver to [countries/areas]. Shipping cost depends on destination and package size (the 5 lt tin costs more to ship than the small bottles) and is shown before you pay. Estimated delivery time is [X–Y working days]. These are estimates, not guarantees. Please check the package on arrival and tell us within [48 hours] if anything is damaged or broken, ideally with photos.

7.4 Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, as provided by EU and Greek consumer law. To do so, email us at [email] with your order number.

  • Only unopened, sealed products in original condition can be returned, as opened food cannot be resold for hygiene reasons.
  • You pay the cost of returning the goods, unless the product was wrong or defective.
  • We refund you within 14 days of your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method. We may wait until we receive the goods or proof of return.

7.5 Defective or wrong products. If you receive a product that is damaged, wrong, or not as described, contact us and we will replace it or refund you, at our cost. This is in addition to your legal rights.

8. Liability

The Website is provided “as is”. We try to keep it available and accurate but cannot guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, crop failures, or technical failures of third parties.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, including your mandatory rights as a consumer and liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or defective products.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version published on the Website applies from the date shown at the top. Orders already confirmed are governed by the Terms in force when you placed them.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email]. If we cannot resolve it, you may turn to the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή, consumerombudsman.gr) or another approved consumer dispute resolution body.

11. Language

These Terms are written in [Greek/English]. If there is any difference between language versions, the [Greek] version prevails.
